Delayed Gratification: Pursuing a diversified funding strategy is time consuming and results may not be evident in the near term.

Below is an example of how you might respond:

"Our core funding is insufficient in amount and/or flexibility to serve all of the businesses and workers we plan to serve, so we must build with multiple government and private funding streams, even if it takes several years. In the meantime, we’ll launch/expand the job quality interventions we can support with our existing funds."

Additional Staff/Training Required: Additional staff or staff competencies will be required to administer new types of funding.

Staff capacity building should be included in requests for funding. This includes both the addition of new staff and training to increase existing staff’s knowledge around how to pursue and manage new sources of funds.
